Mikael Salomon (born February 24, 1945 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish filmmaker, cinematographer of The Abyss (1989) and Backdraft (1991), and director of Band of Brothers (2001). After a long cinematography career in Danish cinema, he went to Hollywood in the late 1980s and has remained highly prolific there, first as cinematographer, later as television director.
