In 1475 Prince Stephen the Great ruler of Moldavia is facing an invading Ottoman Turkish army of 120 000 men.Only 22 years before,the Ottoman Sultan Mahomed II had conquered Constantinople,the capital of Eastern Roman Empire. Once installed in the capital of the Byzantine Emperors the Sultan sets his sights on the whole of Europe.His enormous armies of Janissaries, Sipahis and Akincis already conquered The Trebizond, the Mediteranean Isles, Greece, Albania and Bosnia.Only a few East European kingdoms are still standing unconquered in the path of the Turks.Moldavia's brave ruler Prince Stephen the Great sends envoys to the courts of Europe to warn of the Turkish menace and to ask for military help.Sultan Mahomed decides to cross the frozen wide river Danube and attack Moldavia in winter time.He's sending general Soliman-Pasha with 80 000 troops toward Bulgaria to join 2 Turkish armies led by Hrana-Beg and Ali-Beg.Europe's fate depends on the outcome of the battle.
